Sarah Breit - General Mills
TiB was blessed this week to have one of its founding members return to speak. Her talk was full of encouragement. First, Sarah urged us to remember that we are already leaders. Even as students, we can act out our values on a daily basis and positively influence culture with integrity. Second, Sarah reminded us that we are responsible for our own development. Being responsible for our own development might look like thoughtfully selecting the classes we take, keeping an eye out for training opportunities, reflecting on our strengths and weaknesses, or reading daily. Third, Sarah reassured us that we can trust God for our futures. While our first job may not be our career in the long run, God places us where we are for a purpose. Lastly, Sarah emphasized the importance of not only thinking about what your values are, but writing them down.
